Jazz 2007-08 schedule released

The NBA has released the 2007-08 regular season schedule for all its teams, and there are a few highlights for Jazz fans. We will get six games on either ESPN or TNT: Dec. 7 at San Antonio, Dec. 12 at Phoenix, Dec. 19 at Charlotte, Jan. 10 vs. Phoenix, March 20 vs. LA Lakers, April 16 at San Antonio. Just two home games on national television, for one of the best home crowds in the NBA and a Western Conference Finalist? For shame, ESPN. Greg Oden’s Blazers are getting more airtime than one of the top four teams in the L. Guess I shouldn’t be surprised.

Some highlights from the schedule:

First game of the season: at the Oracle to face Golden State. Anyone else still smarting from those cheap shots during the playoffs?

The Jazz’s yearly Christmas East-coast road trip looks to be light this year, with consecutive road games against the Hawks, Bobcats, Magic and Heat. That’s four very winnable games, which would be a great boost.

Eighteen of Utah’s first 29 games are on the road. Considering the strength of our homecourt, and the relative troubles we have on the road, that could be ugly.

Nov. 30 will be Derek Fisher’s first return to the ESA as a Laker. If you boo him, you are not a true Jazz fan.

April is going to suck. San Antonio twice, New Orleans, Dallas, Denver and Houston. Yikes. Can you say playoff implications?

Commenter boppa30 compiled this list of ESPN and ABC broadcasts by team:

L.A. Lakers 15
