Jazz vs. Warriors, Game 2

What to expect from tonight’s game (7 p.m. MDT, TNT):

Sloan and Nellie will have made adjustments.
Sloan desperately wants to get the ball to Boozer more, break down that 1-2-2 zone, and establish the pick-and-roll. Don Nelson will not tolerate another rebounding performance like Game 1. They’ve each had two days to pore over film and use their wealth of experience to overcome the issues we saw Monday night. Something’s gotta give.

Another beautiful performance from Deron Williams, and improved play from Baron Davis.
Baron didn’t have a bad game by any means, but he won’t stand for the sophomore outplaying him again. There’s a strong possibility that B-Diddy will go off tonight.

Better team defense from the Jazz.
They have a taste of what it takes to defend the Warriors’ speed and ball movement now. Don’t look for Stephen Jackson, Matt Barnes and (especially) Al Harrington to get as many open looks. (This might go along with Baron Davis’ desire to increase his output — he will probably have a bigger impact tonight while his teammates have less of one.)

More offensive aggression from the Warriors.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see Baron take it right at D-Will every time down, or Jason Richardson taking it right at whoever is guarding him, or Jackson right at AK. Remember how fast Paul Millsap got in foul trouble in Game 1? Now imagine that happening to Boozer or Williams. (It almost did happen to Williams.) This would be a huge boost for Golden State. I think they’ll drive it right at us.

Player status: Stephen Jackson in (trial delayed until June 21), Derek Fisher out (unless he shows up by game time, but it’s unlikely).
