Hello Jazz fans, it has been a while since I have blogged and it is good to be back. I must admit that I have missed the opportunity to discuss the latest happenings in the world of the Jazz over the last week. I took a much needed vacation, but don’t fear I still had a chance to follow the Jazz. I also had the opportunity to attend the game on Wednesday night against the 76ers. Over my break I have reflected often about the current state of the Jazz.

Looking at the schedule, it is conceivable that the Jazz could essentially wrap up the Northwest Division title this weekend. Most of you reading this will question how reasonable it is to declare the Jazz the winner of their conference before the half way point, but it could happen.
Assuming the Jazz win tonight in Houston and tomorrow in Denver, and the Nuggets lose tonight against the Lakers, the Jazz will go into next week with a 7.5 game lead. This is a probable outcome as Houston is playing without Yao, and the Lakers are one of the better teams in the league. And, despite the addition of Allen Iverson, the Nuggets are still very shorthanded.
