The Deseret News is reporting that Jazz rookie free agent Roger Powell has been released by the Jazz. That now leaves the Jazz with a 13 man roster, meaning they can add two players before the end of the season if they choose.
This leaves the Jazz with a lot of flexibility going into the last month before the trade deadline. Wishful thinking says that the this means the Jazz are looking to make a trade. Powell was only on tap to receive $400,000 for the season, an insignificant amount by NBA standards. With this flexibility, they will be able to take on extra players if need be.
